BBC Music Introducing

  • Team Assistant. July 2019 – present.

Joined the BBC Music Introducing in Lincolnshire team in July 2019 as a Team Assistant. The role involves everything from mixing live sessions, to interviewing new groups and artists, to listening to, and saving in, music from the BBC Music Introducing Uploader.

  • BBC Introducing in Lincolnshire Xtra Presenter. November 2019 – present.

BBC Radio Lincolnshire

  • Freelance Broadcast Assistant. May 2019 – present.

Joined the BBC Radio Lincolnshire ‘Friday Night Takeover‘ team in May 2019 as a producer, researcher, and contributor. The role involves finding people and topics to talk about on the show, connecting with new audiences, and promoting the show on social media.

Since going full time as a freelance BA, I have worked on Mid-Morning, Afternoons, Drivetime, as well as the Folk Show, Lincolnshire Kitchen, Sport, Weekend Breakfast, and Pirate Gold. I have represented BBC Radio Lincolnshire at a variety of events, including Heckington, Spilsby & Wragby Show, as well as Lincoln University Freshers’ Fayre and the Lincoln Christmas Lights switch-on. I have also worked on Outside Broadcasts, for example: Lincolnshire Day from Hubbard’s Hills in Louth, I have produced packages and reported from events such as Grantham Charity Music Festival Knipfest, and I have supported various station-wide campaigns, such as Make A Difference.

Joined the Journo Resources team in March 2019 to help develop their online resources, and research both specific jobs and graduate schemes, as well as pitching and writing more general advice pieces.
